Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 July 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and PriceHound (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the PriceHound app, website, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

The short version: PriceHound helps you track product prices and get notified when they drop. Prices come from retailers' public pages and can lag or be wrong — always check the retailer's site before buying. We're not a shop and we don't sell the products we track. Be reasonable, don't abuse the Service, and we'll get along fine.

1. What PriceHound does

You add a link to a product; we monitor its price, look for the same product at other retailers, and notify you about price drops. PriceHound is an information service: we are not a retailer, marketplace, or agent of any retailer, and we take no part in any purchase you make. All purchases happen on the retailer's own site, under the retailer's own terms.

2. Prices are informational, not guaranteed

Prices, availability, and product details are collected automatically from retailers' public pages. They can be delayed, incomplete, or occasionally wrong — for example when a retailer changes their page layout, lists several variants at different prices, or updates a price between our checks. Product matches across retailers are made partly by automated analysis and may occasionally match similar-but-different products.

Always verify the price and the exact product on the retailer's site before purchasing. We are not responsible for purchase decisions made on the basis of information shown in the Service.

3. Your account

You sign in with your Apple account and must be at least 13 years old. You're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account, which permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service. In particular, don't:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where reasonable.

6. Notifications

Price-drop alerts are delivered on a best-effort basis via Apple's push notification service. Delivery isn't guaranteed — notifications can be delayed or missed, and price checks run periodically rather than continuously. Don't rely on the Service for time-critical purchases.

7. Retailers and third parties

Retailer names, product names, and images belong to their respective owners. PriceHound is independent: we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer we track. Some links in the Service may in future be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy after clicking them — this never affects the price you pay.

8. Intellectual property

The Service — including the app, design, and software — is ours. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. This licence ends if your account is terminated.

9. Availability and changes

We provide the Service “as is” and work to keep it running well, but we don't promise uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, or remove features, or discontinue the Service; if we discontinue it entirely, we'll give reasonable notice and Apple's refund rules will apply to any remaining paid period.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that: we are not liable for losses arising from purchase decisions, retailer actions, price inaccuracies, or missed notifications; and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or £50 if you've paid nothing).

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We'll post the new version here and update the date at the top; for significant changes we'll also let you know in the app. Using the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales — though if you live elsewhere, you keep any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Questions about these terms: support@pricehound.co.uk.
